| This caricature shows, in the centre of the picture, the doyen of the Soviet film scene, Sergej Eisenstein, pushing around a pram full of the little babies of the Film School (GIK). The Adonis just to the left behind him is Aleksandr Dovženko, left of him are the Vasiliev brothers, who like their hero Čapaev, seem to have arrived directly from a successful fight. Below left is Lev Kulešov, below centre Vsevolod Pudovkin and finally, on the far right, armed with a gun barrel, is Vertov, the Man with the Movie Camera. | ||
